TEXTILE PORTFOLIO
Testing textile with using the fire test, microscopic view and optionally the chemical test.
We had to hand in a fabric portfolio, below there are the fabric- and materialcards from three different fabrics. I learned to test fabrics to discover the raw materials it is made of. I learned to use the fire test, microscopic view and if necessary the chemical test. For every fabric there is an matrial- and fabriccard filled in. The material details can be found on the cards, like the weight, the number of used yarns and the construction. The fabriccards describe the appearence of the fabric, for example the color and the used finishes.
During class we also got a color woven pattern assignment, this can be found below.
